"Litcham Primary School’s governing body works closely with school colleagues to shape, monitor and evaluate our schools development and future. We have been proactive in reviewing our school vision and aims and supported the school to take advantage of wonderful opportunities enabling us to enrich our children’s learning. These include the recent introduction of ‘Forest Schools’ and more opportunity for sport, music, drama and environmental education. We have backed these visions up with a shared understanding and agreement of the financial planning and decisions needed to make our visions a reality (for example, we are planning for long term ICT developments). The Governing Body is a friendly team that enjoys working together and values each other’s perspectives and strengths that we are collectively able to bring to the schools management. The school really depends on this voluntary support and it is very important for the schools continued success that we have a full and active governing body."
